Some things are classic for a reason, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be refreshed.
We’ve taken a few of our long-standing favourites and given them a subtle modern update - keeping the details that made them classics, while introducing a few changes for a cleaner, more contemporary look.
The Royale Wingback
A familiar favourite, with a fresh new finish. The Royale keeps its signature buttoning, but we’ve swapped the traditional studs for clean piping and replaced the black-painted legs with a timeless wood tone.
Classic character, with a little less formality.

The Esther Tub Chair
The Esther has had a refresh, too.
Her beautiful buttoned back remains, while piping replaces the studs and wood-toned legs take the place of the original black finish. The result is a little softer, a little more relaxed and very easy to style.

Meet Mae
Our new Mae Ottomans might look familiar - and that’s because they’re a modernised take on our much-loved Emma Ottomans.
After many years in the range, Emma has retired and Mae has taken her place, with the same versatile spirit but a cleaner, simpler profile.
We’ve removed the buttoning, added simple piping and said goodbye to the castors for a more streamlined look.
Less detail. More simplicity. Still unmistakably Black Mango Interiors.
Classic, but make it fresh!
We love a timeless piece - but we also love finding ways to make it feel right for today.
So, while Royale, Esther and Mae may be new takes on some familiar favourites, they’re proof that classic designs can evolve without losing what made us love them in the first place.
